Hi, I’m Julia.
I’m a transportation cyclist and knitter from South Brooklyn.
I like steel bicycles, wool yarn, and loud music.

My grandmother taught me to knit when I was a little girl, but it wasn’t until 2002 that I really, truly learned to knit.

I would say “there was no stopping me,” except that, after moving back across the country in 2005, and my stash got tucked away in storage and I stopped knitting. Eventually I gifted my horde of fiber to a knitter acquaintance, because I firmly believe that yarn should be knit and appreciated — not stuffed away in plastic bins.

But in 2014, my mother adopted a new dog, and I began knitting him sweaters. And now, it seems, there really is no stopping it.
